Thesis: Evolution of structure-function relationships in the shoot apex
Margaret graduated from Barnard College with a B.A. in Biology in 2007. She worked for a year as a research technician in Jianhua Li’s lab at the Arnold Arboretum and then started graduate school at Cornell. Margaret joined the Scanlon lab in 2009 where she is investigating the molecular mechanisms that regulate the growth and development of shoot apices in early-diverged land plants. Margaret loves running, Saratoga Spring Water, chocolate, hiking, and NYC.
