Advisor: Jander
Thesis: Aphid salivary proteins and plant defense
Dezi graduated from Michigan State University with a B.S. in Environmental Biology/Botany in 2008. She worked for three years in John Ohlrogge’s lab researching fatty acid synthesis in Euonymus alatus (burning bush). Dezi joined the Jander lab in 2009 where she is investigating aphid salivary proteins and their role in plant defense. Dezi loves Michigan, extremely dark chocolate, Moosewoods, and motor triking (my roommate is an addict).
